Engagement
We believe that positive change begins with positive action in your community. If you want to change the world, it starts with changing your corner, your block, and your community. Our motto is "We are the city," because we the people are the ones that must be the change we want to see in the world, and it starts right here in our community. That is why we invest in hyper-local action to create positive change through clean-ups, arts & music festivals, and community engagement to uplift our neighborhood.

Art &
Culture
The celebration of culture through art, music, food, and story-telling is one of the fundemental change agents that impact the lives of all people. We believe these are the threads that define people, and when woven together, create a community fabric that is as strong as it is diverse. That is why we believe in diversity, inclusion, and open discourse to heal and grow as one community. Our arts & music programming are the heart of what we do to impact youth, celebrate culture, and tell the stories of our community.
Health &
Wellness
We believe that a community that plays to together stays together, and that the key to mental wellness starts with physical wellness. We must take care of our bodies, and our bodies will take care of us. This is central to our community purpose initiatives through free and donation based yoga, meditation, dance classes, run clubs, and game nights. Our goal is to take the work out of physical fitness, and remind people to keep playing.
Heart to Hand
Building a better community through compassion & action.
Re/center was first established in 2010 to help bring farm fresh produce to food desert regions of Los Angeles. Over the years the organization has transformed into a community action center that focuses on the needs of the people it serves. Our mission is to create positive change in the world by changing our community.
We believe in compassion for all people; celebrating culture and diversity through art & music; and taking action to change the world by changing our community. Coming together with compassion and action is what it means to RE/CENTER. We are the heart of the community.
